Wilbert Walden, 62, of the 3500 block of Gatlin Ave., a retired maintenance worker, died April 22, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Walden was born in Chesapeake. He had retired from the Naval Supply Center and was a Catholic. He was predeceased by his parents, Annie S. Walden and James Walden Sr.
Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Martin of Norfolk; a sister, Shirley Simpson of Norfolk; two brothers, Virtice Walden of Norfolk and Leon Walden of California; a special friend, Mrs. Pearl Foreman of Norfolk; two nieces, Valerie Simpson and Deborah Simpson, both of Norfolk; two great-nieces, Courtney and Ashley Simpson, both of Norfolk; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Roosevelt Memorial Park by Dr. Charles Hart. Viewing will be Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at 1113 Louisa St. at 10:15 a.m. for the processional to the cemetery. Pretlow's Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
