FREDERICK L. BRANDAU

Frederick ``Fritz'' L. Brandau, 74, died Sunday, April 23, 1995, at Kitty Hawk Medical Center.

Mr. Brandau was born March 11, 1921, in Dumont, Iowa, and was the son of Charlotte Nolting and Justus Ludwig Brandau. He was a graduate of Purdue University School of Mechanical Engineering and served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He retired from FMC in Media, Pa., and American Color and Chemical in Loch Haven, Pa., and continued working in his retirement with Kellogg True Value.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy; one daughter, Susan Castellan of Morgantown, W.Va.; two sons, Michael of Beaufort, S.C., and Robert of Richmond, Va.; five grandchildren; and three sisters of Freeport, Ill.

A memorial service will be held at Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The family will receive visitors after the service at Duck Woods Country Club. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of choice or the Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church, 803 W. Kitty Hawk Road, Kitty Hawk, N.C. 27949. Twiford Colony Chapel, Manteo, is in charge.
