Robert K. Herbertson, 84, of the 500 block of Austin St., died April 24, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Herbertson was a retired FBI agent serving from 1941 to 1963. He was an agent in the FBI laboratories in Washington, D.C., and in Portland, Ore., Charlotte, N.C., and Norfolk. He was born in Burkeville, Va., was a graduate of the University of Richmond and taught school at Fork Union Military Academy and in Richmond.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Lucile Rupp Herbertson; three daughters, Patricia H. Yaros and her husband, Steven, Mary Elizabeth Thompson and her husband, Dane, Nannette H. Saunders and her husband, Hugh; two sons, Robert K. Herbertson Jr. and his wife, Carol, Charles Herbertson and his wife, Mai; and 13 grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Sunset Cemetery, Burkeville, Va., by the Rev. Thomas Traynhan. Memorial donations may be made to The University of Richmond, Richmond, Va. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
