JOHN R. WOODHOUSE

John Russell Woodhouse, 82, of the 4000 block of Oak Moss Court, a retired forklift operator, died April 22, 1995, in Maryview Hospital.

Mr. Woodhouse was born in Princess Anne County and was retired from the Brooklyn Teamsters Local (NU)381 after 30 years. He was a member and usher of Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Brooklyn, N.Y., and a member of the Virginia Club of the church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary O. Woodhouse of Chesapeake; two sisters, Inez H. Woodhouse of New York City and Beatrice W. Stone of Philadelphia; a brother, Oscar E. Woodhouse of Hampton; seven grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Union Baptist Church, Shoulders Hill, Suffolk, by the Rev. C.V. Russell Sr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing will begin at Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, at 10 a.m. today. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Thursday.
