As far as the NFL scheule-maker is concerned, the Washington Redskins are getting closer, but still aren't ready for prime time.
For the second year in a row, the Redskins won't be featured on ABC's Monday Night Football. However, there is one Sunday night game, against the New York Giants, that TNT will broadcast at 8 p.m.
Washington's first trip to St. Louis since the Cardinals moved west doesn't take place until Dec. 17. The Redskins' meeting with expansion Carolina will conclude the regular season at 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
Meanwhile, the Redskins signed unrestricted free-agent fullback Marc Logan of the San Francisco 49ers. The 5-11, 222-pound Logan, an eight-year veteran, is the seventh free agent to sign with Washington this offseason.
He started 18 games the past three seasons for the 49ers after he was acquired from Miami as a Plan B free agent in 1992.
The Redskins also waived veteran tight end Ethan Horton and defensive tackle Leonard Marshall. by CNB
