Willis M. ``Doc'' Savage, 78, of the 2400 block of Spindrift Lane, died April 26, 1995, in Norfolk.
Mr. Savage was born in Norfolk County. He retired from the Naval Air Rework Facility after 31 years and was the owner of Savage Service Co. from 1973 to 1991. He was a member of Francis Asbury United Methodist Church and was a coastal observer for the Coast Guard.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 29 years, June Byrum Savage; three daughters, Patsy S. Kidd, Teri C. Kuklica and Cathy S. Haley, all of Virginia Beach; two sons, David C. Creecy of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., and C. Mark Creecy of Duck, N.C.; his mother, Mary Ann McPherson Savage of Norfolk; five sisters, Evelyn S. Hanna of Virginia Beach, Marie S. Tuttle of Chesapeake, Katherine S. Offield of Gloucester, Nina S. Smith of Florida and Helen S. Watkins of Norfolk; three brothers, Alfred Savage of Orlando, Fla., Robert Savage of Virginia Beach and Ronald C. Savage of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren, Robert Kidd, Kathleen Thibault, Tyler and Caitlin Creecy, Jennifer, Christine, and Kelly Jo Kuklica, Brent, Charlie, Michael and Heather Haley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Francis Asbury United Methodist Church by the Rev. Joseph French. Burial will be private in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Francis Asbury United Methodist Church.
