Ernest G. Valianos, 74, of the 900 block of West Ferry Plantation.
He was a native of Keramies, Cephalonia, Greece, and was the widower of Mellie S. Valianos. He was a retired developer and building contractor and founder of the Valianos Grading and Clearing Company in Virginia Beach. Mr. Valianos was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation in Norfolk. He also was a member of Cephalonian Society of Norfolk and the Ahepa.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry E. Valianos and his wife, Kathy, of Virginia Beach, and Dennis E. Valianos of Poquoson; five grandchildren, Willie Carol Hall, Mellie, Ernie, Dennis and Alexis Valianos; and two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Nicholas.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, May 1, 1995, in the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation by Father Constantine Rogakos. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
A Trisagion service will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Laskin Road Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Memorial donations may be made to the Cephalonian Society for the Old Folks Home in Argostolion, Cephalonia, c/o the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, 7220 Granby St., Norfolk, Va. 23505.
