Mervin Doughty Boyd, 77, of the 3100 block of Shore Drive, a retired special agent, died of cancer April 26, 1995 in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Boyd was born in Morris Run, Pa. He retired from the IRS after 38 years and was retired for more than 20 years. He was a member of the Association of Former Special Agents, Justice Columbia Lodge No. 3 (FAAM) and Almas Temple, Washington, D.C. He was past commodore of Almas Yacht Club and past master of Mt. Pleasant Lodge, Washington, D.C. He was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine (Kitty) Roberts Boyd of 3100 Shore Drive.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with the minister to be arranged. In lieu of flowers family requests donation to Shrine Childrens' Hospitals c/o Almas Temple, 1315 ``K'' St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20005.
