Guy Friddell writes in his column ``Here's hoping radio magpies don't create a loony bird'' (April 27) that ``among (G. Gordon) Liddy's listeners are demented barbarians who bombed a nine-story building and with it, scores of precious lives.''
The listening habits of the bombing suspects have not been reported anywhere else in the media, so how does Mr. Friddell know this?

``among Liddy's listeners are the likes of demented barbarians who
bombed a nine-story building...''
