LAWRENCE B. WITHERINGTON

Lawrence Bray Witherington of the 400 block of Forest Road died Friday, April 29, 1995, at his residence.

Mr. Witherington, the son of the late Lawrence H. and Winfred M. Witherington, was born in Little Washington, N.C. He was retired from N.A.S. as an Airplane Mechanic, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge (NU)339 in South Norfolk, and the Portlock Mens Club. He was a Baptist, and a U.S. Army veteran in WWII.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Ansell Witherington of the home; 1 daughter, Donna W. Wells of Chesapeake; 1 step-daughter, Barbara Ansell Jennings of Fort Pierce, Fla.; 1 sister, Ethel Francis of Plymouth, N.C.; 4 grandchildren, Erik W. Wells, Lori-Ann W. Wells, and James Scott Morrison all of Chesapeake, and Kimberly ``Kim'' Ann Wollett of Va. Beach, and 3 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at Twiford Colonial Chapel, 929 S. Battlefield Blvd., Chesapeake, Va., Monday, May 1, 1995, at 11:00 am. by the Rev. Vic Ramsey. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk, Va. The family will receive friends at Twiford Colonial Chapel, Sunday evening from 7:00-8:30 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Moyock Baptist Church Building Fund.
