Edna Mae Bishop, of the 3000 block of Parkside Drive, Apt. (NU)4, a housewife, died April 27, 1995 in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mrs. Bishop was born in Jacksonville, Fla. She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and the senior choir.
Survivors include five daughters, Alice Alston of Philadelphia, Pa., Phyllis Vaughan and Vanessa Knight, both of Norfolk, and Beverly Kay and Avis Bishop, both of Chesapeake; three sons, Richard Shepherd of Norfolk, Joseph Bishop Jr. of Baltimore, Md., and Ronald Maurice Bishop Sr., of Chesapeake; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Dr. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Arrangements by Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. today and will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. The family will assemble at 2913 Fireside Road, Apt. 1, at noon for the processional.
