Jennie F. ``Nana'' Josephson, 85, of the 100 block of Suburban Pkwy, died May 2, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Josephson was a native of Russia. She was the widow of Albert Josephson. She was a member of Congregation Beth El in Norfolk, Va. Mrs. Josephson was a member of B'nai Brith and the Jewish Community Center. She was a member of the YES club and served as the editor of the club's newsletter. She was the winner of the Phyllis Blachman Award for outstanding and dedicated service to B'nai Brith in 1988 and received the 10-year award for dedicated service from Beth Sholom Home.
Survivors include a daughter, Loretta Sobczynski, and her husband, Joe, of Virginia Beach, Va.; a son, Barry Josephson of Rockville, Md; five grandchildren, Richard Gross, Alan Michael Gross, Rochelle Gross, all of Virginia Beach, Terry Josephson of San Diego, Ca., Amy Josephson of Arlington, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Geoffrey H. and Brandon Gross, both of Virginia Beach; nephews, Larry and Robert Dobrinsky; niece, Harriet Golding; and a dearest friend, Lee Dillon.
A chapel service will be conducted at noon Thursday, May 4, 1995, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts, Norfolk Chapel by Rabbi Arthur Ruberg and Cantor Jacob Tessler. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Beth El Temple, or Jewish Family Services of Tidewater.
