NORMAN L. GOODWIN

Norman Leigh Goodwin Sr., 59, of Chesapeake, died Monday, May 1, 1995, in a Chesapeake hospital.

Mr. Goodwin was born in Princeton, W.Va., and was the son of the late John M. and Lucy Garnet Goodwin. He had retired as a computer operations supervisor with NOB after 35 years of civil service. Mr. Goodwin was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge (NU)1940, Chesapeake.

Survivors include his daughter, Leslie Melinda Saunders of Norfolk; his son, Norman Leigh Goodwin Jr. of Chesapeake; his sister, Margaret J. Rosenfeld of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren, Brittany C. Saunders, Jodie M. Saunders and Jamie Messina; and his former wife, Betty Jo Belsha Goodwin.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 4, 1995, at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, 524 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. The Rev. Danny Owens of Azalea Baptist Church will officiate. The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, immediately following the services at the cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association. There will be no public viewing.
