RICHARD M. SNOW SR.

LCDR Richard M. Snow Sr., USN (Ret.), 70, died May 2, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.

Mr. Snow was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and was the widower of Margaret Snow. He was retired from the Navy after 30 years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Norfolk; Knights of Columbus Council 3548; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3160; Order of Alhambra, Padal Caravan (NU)69; Retired Officers Association; and Fleet Reserve Association, Branch 60.

Survivors include two daughters, Susan Crowley of Westminster, Md., and Patricia Beahan of Norfolk; two sons, Andrew Snow of Pittsburgh and Lt. Col. Richard Snow Jr., U.S. Army (Ret.); a sister, Dorthy Heinzel of Pittsburgh; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a stepson, William Houck of Maiden, N.C.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Holy Trinity Catholic Church by Fr. Lou Ruoff. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded. A memorial prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, where the family will remain until 9 p.m. to receive friends. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Navy-Marine Corp Relief Society, 7920 Hampton Blvd., Building SC-413, Norfolk, Va. 23505-1299.
