A 17-year-old Norfolk youth has been arrested in the slaying of a man last month.
The teenager, who lives in the 1000 block of W. 42nd St., was charged Tuesday night with murder in the April 26 death of Clarence Carter of Norfolk.
Police said Carter, 66, had been set afire and was dead when police found him in a vacant lot in the 800 block of Maltby Ave.
Carter had no listed address, police spokesman Larry Hill said. Hill said the slaying stemmed from a dispute.
The youth was arrested at the Police Operations Center.
His name was not released because of his age.
