JAMES K. THOMPSON

Cdr. James K. Thompson, U.S. Navy (Ret.), 61, of Virginia Beach, died May 4, 1995, in his residence.

He was born in Athens, Ga. Cdr. Thompson was a Navy pilot and a veteran of the Vietman War. He was the widower of Rebecca Thompson and a member of Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Melanie A. Thompson of Virginia Beach and Karen T. Moller of Beckley, W.Va.; his mother, Mildred F. Thompson of Duluth, Ga.; a sister, Danna Jo Kljun of Atlanta; a brother, Robert C. Thompson of Atlanta; and three grandchildren.

A church service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church in Virginia Beach by the Rev. Gary Rowe. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel. Burial will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park with full military honors.
