WILLIS G. ROBERTSON

Willis Glover Robertson, 63, of Kingwood, died Friday, May 5, 1995, at Monongalia General Hospital after a long illness.

He was born Oct. 3, 1931, in Lorain, Ohio, a son of Gertrude Born Robertson and the late Charles Glover Robertson.

He served four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of West Virginia University with a B.S. and M.A. degree in industrial arts, and also attended Fairmont State College for real estate and accounting courses. He was a member of the Kingwood Lions Club, where he served two terms as president, a member of Preston Lodge (NU)90, AF & AM, Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department, served on the Advisory Board of the Kingwood Banking Center, was past chairman of the Advisory Council of Preston Vocational School, honorary WV State Farmer, and member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

Mr. Robertson served four terms as a County Commissioner for the Kingwood District. He was president of WW&M Construction and owner and broker of R&R Real Estate. He was also a certified general appraiser in the State of West Virginia.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Nancy Sue Kremer Robertson; one son, William C. ``Bill'' Robertson of Kingwood; one daughter, Martha Sue ``Sis'' Livengood of Kingwood; his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Hodges Kremer; two sisters, Mrs. Joanne Hunter of Novelty, Ohio, and Mrs. Jane Light of Kingwood; one granddaughter, Darby Robertson; and two grandsons, Christopher and Nicholas Robertson, all of Kingwood. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Glover Robertson, on Sept. 25, 1965.

Friends may call at the James G. Lobb Funeral Home, 295 S. Price St., in Kingwood, on Saturday, May 6, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home chapel on Sunday, May 7, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John Negley officiating. Burial will follow in the Maplewood Cemetery in Kingwood.
