Bernice Vann Parker, 79, of the 4500 block of Portsmouth Boulevard, died Saturday, May 6, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mrs. Parker was born in Murfreesboro, N.C. She was the widow of Ike E. Parker and had retired from General Electric Co. as a supervisor. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, the 4 F Club at Bethany Baptist and Women of the Moose 898.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathleen P. Powell, Dorothy Ricketts and Diane Turner, all of Portsmouth; a son, Dennis L. Parker of Portsmouth; a brother, George Vann of Portsmouth; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, by the Rev. Gene Primm. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and also at other times at 141 E. Tyler Crescent, Portsmouth, in the Glensheallah section of Portsmouth.
