Stella Curtis Neece, 66, of the first block of E. Pollux Circle, died May 9, 1995, in her residence.
Mrs. Neece was a native of Washington, D.C., and was the widow of Jesse Woodrow Neece. She was employed as a cashier at Maxway Stores.
Survivors include a daughter, Anna M. Jordan of Portsmouth; two sons, John A. Neece of Chesapeake and Charles R. Neece of Portsmouth; a sister, Louise Miller of Maryland; a brother, John Curtis of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Jessica Neece, Beth Jordan and Brandon Jordan; and a great-grandson, Kevin Hanson.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. W. Thomas Wood. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday and other times at 301 Chesapeake Ave., Portsmouth.
