VOLUNTEERS SOUGHT FOR EDUCATION PROJECT

The Community Networking Association is looking for volunteers for an upcoming project on education. The goal is to come up with ways to improve education for children across Hampton Roads.

Some volunteers will be trained this summer to help lead group discussions as part of the Citizen Challenge Project on Education.

Organizers hope to build stronger community relationships by bringing all types of people together to consider issues and seek solutions.

The first forum will be held in late September, followed by a series of study sessions in October and November. Early next year, project participants will split up into ``civic action groups'' to tackle issues.

By February, organizers will release a report outlining concerns and experiences shared at meetings.

Interested residents, students and organizations are encouraged to sign up now for training and planning purposes. Call 495-8301 for details. by CNB
