A 25-year-old man who was shot late Thursday died early Friday and police were searching for a teenager in connection with the slaying.
Xavier Graves, 25, of the 800 block of W. 38th St., died in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital at 12:08 a.m., exactly one hour after he was reported to have been shot in an incident in the 1000 block of W. 38th St.
Police have issued warrants for Maurice Moore, 17, of the 800 block of 37th St. He is charged with murder, using a firearm while committing a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was already wanted on an unrelated charge of malicious wounding.
Police said the motive for the shooting had not been determined.
