Florence Esther Ruark, 85, of the 2000 block of Sterling Point Drive, died May 14, 1995, in her residence.
Mrs. Ruark was a native of Philadelphia, Pa., and a member of First Methodist Church, Haddon Heights, N.J. She was a 50-year member of the Audobon Chapter (NU)191 Order of the Eastern Star in Audobon and a volunteer for the Maryview Hospital.
Survivors include husband, Welton Humphries Ruark of Portsmouth; two daughters, Patricia Schute of Portsmouth and Betty Simpson of Glen Mills, Pa.; four sons, Lt. Col. William Ruark of N.D., John Ruark of Fairfax, Ca., Richard Ruark of Riverton, N.J., and Robert Ruark of Williamsburg, Va.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today at 2005 Sterling Point Drive, Portsmouth from 6 to 8 p.m. Loving Funeral Home, Churchland is handling arrangements.
