GIRL MISSING SINCE APRIL 10

Police are looking for a teenage girl who disappeared last month after leaving her home.

Amanda W. Barnett, 15, has not been seen or heard from since leaving her house at 145 W. Liberty St. on April 10, police spokesman Larry Hill said. She is mentally handicapped, Hill said.

Barnett is described as white, 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 130 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair, but she may have dyed her hair blond, Hill said.

She has been known to frequent the Lafayette-Winona and Wards Corner neighborhoods and possibly the Ocean View area.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Line at 664-4040. ILLUSTRATION: Amanda Barnett
