Gordon Frederick Kariger Jr., 25, of the 700 block of W. Ocean View, an ODU student, slipped into the Lord's welcoming arms on May 15, 1995.
Gordon was a native of Norfolk and longtime resident of Bayview, with fond memories of a loving, caring neighborhood.
He was the beloved son of Gordon ``Bud'' Kariger of Norfolk and Dianna K. Iverson-Eure of Sunbury, N.C. Finally holding his memory are two sisters, Wendy K. Forsman and Kara K. Williams, both of Norfolk; three brothers, Roger Iverson of Massachusetts, Larry Iverson of Chesapeake and Brian Iverson of Suffolk. He was the ever-so-loved grandson of Gustava Holt, Tillie Iverson and others. Gordon has made permanent impressions on his nephews, nieces and extended family members in Vermont, Wisconsin and Georgia.
A private family funeral was held. Memorial donations may be sent to Full Circle AIDS Hospice Support, 110 E. 24th St., Norfolk, Va. 23517. Harrell Funeral Home, Gatesville, handled the arrangements.
