Thomas Jackson ``Jack'' Askew, 71, of Murfree St., a retired inspector, died May 17, 1995, in his home.
Mr. Askew, a native of Gates County, was retired from the Ford Motor Co. Assembly Plant. He was a member of Cool Spring Baptist Church, Winton Masonic Lodge (NU)723 and W.O.W.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Eure Askew; a son, Randy Jackson Askew of Durham; a sister, Betty A. Chappell of Gatesville; and a brother, Allston B. Askew of Winton.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Cool Spring Baptist Church, Eure, by the Rev. Horace Culpepper. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to Roanoke Chowan Hospice, P.O. Box 272, Ahoskie, N.C. 27910.
