Edna P. Savage, 80, of the 300 block of Viking St., died May 13, 1995, in Maryview Hospital.
Mrs. Savage was born in Roxobel, N.C. She was a member of New Mount Olivet Baptist Church and the Cavalier Manor Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her husband, Whaley Savage of Kelford, N.C.; a daughter, Rosa M. Bazemore of Portsmouth; three sons, Wendell Savage, Leo Savage and Horace Savage, all of Washington, D.C.; a sister, Ruth Walton of Portsmouth; three brothers, Langwood Powell of Newport News, William Powell and Leroy Powell, both of Aulander N.C.; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Lloyd Bazemore Sr.; an uncle; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in New Mount Olivet Baptist Church by the Rev. Milton R. Blount. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Friday in Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Saturday.
