JACK H. HOWELL

Jack H. Howell, 81, a retired route salesman, died May 16, 1995, in Chesapeake.

Mr. Howell was born in Gates County, N.C., and was a Protestant. He was the widower of Catherine Harrell Howell. He retired from Mary Jane Bakery after 25 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy H. Oglesby of Chesapeake; a son, Robert H. Howell of Virginia Beach; six sisters, Myrtie Mae King of Suffolk, Annie Mary Brinkley of Newport News, Lilley W. Spencer of Virginia Beach, Alease Neblett of Waverly, Va., Frances Crusenberry of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Margaret Rountree of Suffolk; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. David Libengood. Burial will be in Cypress Chapel Christian Church Cemetery, Suffolk. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
