Abner G. ``A.G.'' Jones, 55, of the 4700 block of Thresher Court, died May 16, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Jones was born in Lewiston, N.C., and was employed by Smith & Keene Electric Service for 30 years.
He was married to Detra C. Jones of Virginia Beach for 36 years and is also survived by a daughter, Diana G. Tharp of Chesapeake; two sons, David A. Jones and Dean G. Jones, both of Virginia Beach; a sister, Vivian J. Davis of Chesapeake; and three grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by Pastor Desi Allen. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Arthritis Foundation at 900 Commonwealth Place, Suite 101, Virginia Beach, Va. 23464.
