ODU STUDENT WINS PAGEANT TRACY BLIZZARD TAP-DANCED TO ``MAPLE LEAF RAG'' AS HER TALENT PRESENTATION.

Tracy Blizzard, daughter of David and Diane Blizzard of Hampton, was named Miss Portsmouth Seawall Festival at a pageant May 6 at Western Branch High School.

Blizzard, a student a Old Dominion University, tap-danced to Scott Joplin's ``Maple Leaf Rag'' as her talent presentation.

Finalists were Jane Barham of Norfolk, first runner-up; Sarah Garvey-Potvin of Norfolk, second runner-up and also the recipient of the Mary Beth Alexander talent award; Amber Medlin of Virginia Beach, third runner-up and winner of the swimsuit competition; and Nancy-Lynne Trentham of Arlington, fourth runner-up.

Prior to the pageant, contestants were entertained at a pizza party and tea. A reception for the contestants, their families and friends also was held after the pageant at the Holiday Inn-Portsmouth Waterfront. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
