Weeks ago the city reached an agreement with Ports Events to take over management of Willett Hall, but nothing's happened yet.
The unexplained delay in consummating a deal that apparently had widespread support has not helped Ports Events get off to a good start on this new venture.
Entertainment is booked months in advance and if we're not booking now, then we will not have much going on next fall. If nothing much is going on, then Ports Events will not appear very successful.
