Zilla Smoak David, 69, of the 1000 block of Justis St., died May 19, 1995, in Chesapeake.
Mrs. David was born in Cope, S.C. She retired from civil service after more than 20 years, was the widow of Clyde F. David and was a Baptist.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Pearl D. Beatty and John F. Beatty of Norfolk; two sisters, Frances Ann Sellers of Lakeland, Fla., and Margaret Mozelle Rogers of Charleston, S.C.; a brother, Jake M. Smoak of Charleston; two grandchildren, William Terrell McMillan III and Katherine Paige McMillan, both of Norfolk; an aunt, Merle Flowers of Charleston, S.C.; and six nieces. She was predeceased by her parents, Lila Smoak and Eugene Smoak, and a brother, Claude Stuckey Smoak.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Hampton Roads Chapter, (NU)20 Koger Center, Suite 233, Norfolk, Va. 23502.
