Lottie Finklea, 66, of the 400 block of Clifton St., a domestic worker, departed this earthly life on May 19, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Finklea was born in Marion, S.C. She was the daughter of the late Lillian Brantley and Joe Smith and was the widow of James Finklea.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda J. Rhinehart of Norfolk and Shirley A. Johnson of Memphis, Tenn.; four sons, James L. Finklea, Ralph E. Finklea, Joseph Finklea and Walter Finklea, all of Norfolk; two sisters, Hazel Ford, Claretha Davis, both of Marion, S.C.; a brother, Sam Johnson of Manhattan, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren, Antoinette Finklea, Thomas Finklea, Adriene Finklea, Earline Finklea, Cynthia Finklea, Christopher Finklea, Corteasia Finklea, Hannibal Jackson, Adam Brooks, Fatimah Jenkins; nine great-grandchildren, Robert Finklea, LaShay Finklea, Auriana Taylor, Antoin Finklea, Terrica Finklea, Devonte Finklea, Titeanna Finklea, Quatavious Mason, Deontre Finklea; a special friend, Jerome Fennell; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in New Rising Sun Baptist Church by the Rev. Zack Pippins. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble at 424 Clifton St., Norfolk, at noon Thursday for the funeral processional to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk, is in charge of arrangements.
