Geraldine Bruce Gamble, of the 2400 block of Ruffin St., died May 15, 1995, in her residence.
Mrs. Gamble was born in Hobson Va., to the late Jimmy and Emmaline Brinkley Thomas. She was the widow of James C. Gamble and was a long-standing member of New Calvary Baptist Church and its Senior Citizens Club and the Senior Missionary Society.
Survivors include four nieces, Jean Parker of New York, Ava Paxton of Virginia Beach, Linda Bracey of Suffolk, and Althea Wynn of Chesapeake; one nephew, James Thomas Jr. of Los Angeles; one brother-in-law, James L. Bracey of Suffolk; three sisters-in-law, Esther Davis of New York, Beatrice Thomas of Norfolk and Lottie Thomas of New York; and many great-nieces, nephews and cousins.
