CAROLYN PARKER

Carolyn ``Carol'' Edith Kratt Parker, 50, of Virginia Beach, died May 22, 1995, in a Virginia Beach hospital.

Mrs. Parker was born in Lorain, Ohio, and was a homemaker and former teacher for the Lakewood, Ohio School System. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Virginia Beach. She was a member, corresponding secretary and board member of Little Neck Circle of the King's Daughters. She was also a member of the Norfolk Southern Wives Club and served on its Board. She was a member of the Middle Plantation Garden Club and an active volunteer at Norfolk Academy as a tutor in the lower school. She received her B.S. degree from Baldwin Wallace College, Berea, Ohio. She was predeceased by her parents, Edith Dietz and Arthur L. Kratt.

Survivors include husband, Richard ``Dick'' W. Parker of Virginia Beach; two daughters, Lauren Michelle Parker and Lisa Christine Parker, both of Virginia Beach; one son, Brian Jeffrey Parker of Virginia Beach; one sister, Katherine Fort of Berea, Ohio; and one brother, Peter G. Kratt of Avon, Ohio.

The funeral will be conducted Thursday, May 25, 1995, at 10 a.m. by Dr. J. Scottie Griffin in First Presbyterian Church, Virginia Beach. Burial will be in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery, Virginia Beach. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel in charge. The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters or to Norfolk Academy.
