Velma Joe Napier, 57, of the 700 block of Harris Point Drive, died May 20, 1995, in Durham, N.C.
Mrs. Napier was born in Yoakum County, Texas, and was a member of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church of Virginia Beach.
Survivors include her husband, Freddie Napier of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Melissa Lynn Richmond of Virginia Beach; two sons, Freddie Teryl Napier of Franklin, Va., and Timothy Joearl Napier of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Christine Roberts and Billie S. Lemmons, both of Oklahoma City; a brother, J.B. Wilson of Pearsall, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted Thursday, May 25, 1995, at 2 p.m. by Dr. Lawrence Harper in Thalia Lynn Baptist Church. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel in charge. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
