WILLIAM F. SHEEHAN JR.

Cmdr. William Francis Sheehan Jr. (USN Ret.), 67, of the 4300 block of Thoroughgood Drive, died May 22, 1995, in his home.

Mr. Sheehan was born in Dorchester, Mass. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1975 after 33 years Canal Co. and also retired Ships Pilot-Panama. He was a Roman Catholic. He was a 1952 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Naval War College of Newport, R.I., and was a veteran of Korea and Vietnam, where he received the Bronze Star. He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Taylor Nicole Taminaro.

Survivors include wife, Avonne Aus Sheehan; two daughters, Ann Marie McCormack of Kenner, La., and Deborah Taminaro of Virginia Beach; one sister, Helen M. Sheehan of Attleboro, Mass.; one brother, Gerard Sheehan of Chula Vista, Ca.; and four grandchildren.

The funeral will be private at a later date. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel in charge. Memorials may be made to the Alumni Association, U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md. 21402.
