PIZZA DELIVERY DRIVER WON'T BE CHARGED

The Chanello's Pizza delivery driver who shot and killed a would-be robber Thursday will not be charged with a crime, Norfolk police said Monday night.

A police spokesman said the commonwealth's attorney's office made the decision Monday.

The driver, who has not been identified, was with another driver during a delivery in the 700 block of E. 27th St. shortly before 11 p.m.

The drivers were approached by 25-year-old Cordell L. Marshall and two other men. Marshall was fatally shot by one of the drivers when he and the other two men tried to rob the drivers, police said.

The two other men involved in the robbery are still being sought.
