MARY D. MATTER

Mary D. ``Honey'' Matter, 68, of the 700 block of Inlet Quay in the Riverwalk section, died Wednesday, May 24, 1995, at her residence.

Mrs. Matter was born in Pensacola, FL, and was the daughter of the late William W.J. and Ruby Hannah Diestel and the widow of Jack R. Matter. She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Binns and her brother, James R. Diestel. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Cathey Brady and her husband, Michael G. Brady of Chesapeake, Claudia Williford and her husband, Lee Williford of Chesapeake, and Christine Boyer and her husband, Bill Boyer of Midlothian, VA; and five grandchildren, Michael G. Brady Jr. and his wife, Stacey, Steven K. Brady, Wendy L. Williford, Tracy L. Boyer, and Brett W. Boyer.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 26, 1995, in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, by the Rev. Otis Colston. There will be no viewing or visitation at the funeral home.

The family will receive friends at 704 A Inlet Quay in the Riverwalk section on Thursday from 7-8 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Make A Wish Foundation, or the American Heart Association.
