BOBBY G. BLANKENSHIP

Bobby Glenn Blankenship, age 61, a resident of 5505 Carol Anne Terrace, Virginia Beach, died in the Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital Wednesday morning.

Funeral services will be held in the Paul Funeral Home Chapel in Washington, N.C., Friday at 2 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Jack W. Page Jr. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Paul Funeral Home in Washington Thursday from 7 to 8:30 P.M. and at other times at the home of his mother-in-law Mrs. J. Henry Hodges, Sr., Terrapin Rd., Rt. 4, Washington, N.C.

Mr. Blankenship was born in Commerce, Texas, February 18, 1934, the son of Mrs. Della Fox Blankenship and the late Leslie Blankenship.

He was married to the former Iris Hodges on May 26, 1973, who survives. He was a long distance truck driver and a driver for Military Distributors. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.

Surviving with his wife of Virginia Beach, his mother of Garland, Texas; a son, Bobby G. Blankenship Jr. of Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Debra White of Garland, Texas; brother Leslie Blankenship of Dallas, Texas; sister Donna Wilson of Garland, Texas, and three grandchildren.
