Robert Paul ``Barney'' Barnstable, 52, of the 3600 block of Kevin Drive, died May 25, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Barnstable was born in Highland Park, Ill. He was a machinist at the Defense Diagnostic Depot and was a member of American Legion Post (NU)327.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah ``Dolores'' Barnstable; a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl Christine and Anthony Weisinger of Norfolk; three sons, Mark Christopher and Tina Barnstable of Chesapeake, Robert Paul Barnstable Jr. and Adam Louis Barnstable, both of Norfolk; two sisters, Sue Swederski of Beach Park, Ill. and Sandra Janssen of Uniontown, Ohio; grandchildren, Barbara Michelle Gilbert of Norfolk, Chris Barnstable, Cody Ray Barnstable and Brandon Ryan Barnstable, all of Chesapeake, Jason Ryan Weisinger and Stephany Nichole Weisinger, both of Norfolk; and one soon to be grandchild. He was predeceased by a brother, William Barnstable. He was also well loved by all his in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Burial will be Monday at 3 p.m. in Arlington National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the American Legion.
