Two robbery suspects were shot early Friday during a confrontation with police at a Burger King restaurant in the 3800 block of East Little Creek Road, police spokesman Larry Hill said.
The men received minor wounds.
At 5:20 a.m. two men abducted the manager of the restaurant as he arrived.
They forced him into the store and robbed the store, Hill said.
As they were leaving, they were stopped by police officers, who had staked out the restaurant, Hill said.
The men were identified as Alex M. Polite, 22, of the 9600 block of First View Ave. He received a gunshot wound to the buttocks, Hill said.
Zenus Barnes, 21, of the 9500 block of 24th Bay St., was shot in the leg.
Both men were listed in good condition.
Hill said the men may be linked to as many as 12 robberies of Burger King and McDonald's restaurants in Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Hampton.
The investigation is continuing, Hill said.
