George Leonard Hill, 81, of the 500 block of Kings Fork Road, a retired stevedore, died May 29, 1995, in Hillhaven Nursing Center.
Mr. Hill was born in Branch County, Mich., son of the late Anna Kneb Hill and Charles C. Hill. He was retired from Old Dominion Stevedore.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva Lee Hill; two daughters, Lillie Patricia Hill of Virginia Beach and Vivian Lee Sullivan of Dracut, Mass.; a son, Edward M. Hill of Suffolk; five sisters, Margaret H. Cvacho of Richmond, Va., Dorothy H. Stuber of Treemont, Ill., Frances H. Toth of Richmond, Va., Evelyn H. Staudt of Portland, Ore., and Betty H. Hall of Beaver Dam, Va.; three brothers, William Hill of Oklahoma City, Okla., Robert Hill of Phoenix, Ariz., and Raymond Hill of Richmond, Va.; five grandchildren, Kelly Gove of Nashua, N.H., Michael Leonard Sullivan of Clearwater, Fla., Gary Michael Hill and Valerie Hill, both of Chesapeake, Sherry Horn of Virginia Beach; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Joe Rubik. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk. The family will be at the home of Edward M. Hill, 543 Kings Fork Road, Suffolk, to greet friends.
