The City of Norfolk has named Sally Reed as its new Director of Libraries. Reed is currently the Library Director for Ames Public Library in Ames, Iowa. She will head the Norfolk library system beginning Aug. 16.
Reed has a 14-year background in library services. Prior to assuming the directorship of the Ames Public Library system, she served as director of the Isley Public Library in Middlebury, Vt. from 1985 to 1994 and director of the North Hampton Public Library in North Hampton, N.H., from 1982-84. She holds a bachelor's degree in English from Colorado State University and a masters in library science from Northern Illinois University. by CNB
