Dureatha ``Doe'' Evans, 39, of the 7400 block of Gregory Drive, died May 29, 1995, in Sentara Leigh Hospital.
She was a native of Norfolk, attended Norfolk public schools and was manager of the Tinee Giant Store in Newport News.
She was the daughter of Lucy Mae Evans and Cornelius Evans Sr. of Norfolk.
In addition to her parents, survivors include her fiance, Horace Fair; an adopted mother, Lilly Mae Fair; four sisters, Marcia Lewis, Janice Dean, Sonja Evans and Gloria Evans; five brothers, Ronald Johnson of Connecticut, Gregory Evans of Virginia Beach, Timothy Evans, Cornelius Evans Jr. and Walter M. Evans of Norfolk; grandparents, Martha Branch and Walter Branch of Norfolk; three aunts, Paralee Percy, Sandy Johnson of Washington, D.C., and Carolyn Morris; a special sister-in-law, Gay Evans; a special adopted sister, Regina Wiggins; a god-son, Leonco Wiggins; and a host of nieces and nephews and many special friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Bernadett Evans; her grandparents, Smith Evans and Janie D. Evans and Florence Sylvestor.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Andrew's COGIC, 35th St., Norfolk, with the Rev. Howard Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park.
