William Simpson Curling, Jr., 64, of the 1000 block of Sherry Ave., a retired maintenance-electrician, died June 1, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Curling was born in South Norfolk. He retired from Ford Motor Co. after 18 years, was a member of I.B.E.W. Local (NU)80 and was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Neva Newbern Curling; a daughter, Angel Herrell of Virginia Beach; two sons, W. Clay Curling of Chesapeake and Troy C. Curling of Virginia Beach; a sister, Carole Lee of Charleston, S.C.; a brother, Stephen Curling of Charlotte, N.C.; and four grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
