EARL C. PEEL SR.

Earl C. Peel Sr., of the 2700 block of Fincham Court, died June 2, 1995 in a local hospital.

Mr. Peel was born in Windsor, N.C. He retired from Bell Atlantic after 42 years, was a member of Queen Street Baptist Church, Norfolk, the usher board, was assistant superintendent of the Sunday School and was an Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Annie Peel; a daughter, Sue Ann Peel-Cooley of Fort Washington, Md.; a son, Earl Peel Jr. of Chesapeake; one son-in-law, Stanley Brian Cooley of Fort Washington, Md.; a sister, Mary Gladys Watson of North Carolina; a brother, David Peel of New Jersey; one goddaughter, Tamar Madkins; and one grandchild.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in Queen Street Baptist Church by the Rev. Peter Wherry. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Arrangements by Graves Funeral Home. Family will assemble at the residence. The remains will be in the church at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
