Charles F. Slaughter, Jr., 70, of the 100 block of North Budding Ave., died June 2, 1995 in a local hospital.
Mr. Slaughter was born in Norfolk. He was a retired chief engineer for Great Lakes Dredging Co., and a member of the Union of Operating Engineers Local (NU)25 and Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge (NU)39 of Norfolk.
Survivors include two sons, Charles F. Slaughter, III of Virginia Beach and David Lee Slaughter of Norfolk; two sisters, Jean Thompson and Shirley Mero, both of Norfolk; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements by Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters.
