Robert McNabb, 88, retired co-owner of The Food Basket, died June 4, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mr. McNabb was born in Coleraine, Ireland. He was the widower of Marjorie Alexandria McNabb. He was a native of Ireland coming to the United States at the age of 45 years. He was a 1925 gold medalist for Rugby in Northern Ireland and served in the Royal Air Force with the Lancaster Bomber Squadron.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Williams and Maureen Stone, both of Chesapeake; a son, Harry McNabb of Portsmouth; six grandchildren, Chris and Mark Williams and Amy, Andrew, Steven and Jeffrey Stone; and a sister-in-law, Fay Walls of Portsmouth.
He was predeceased by a grandson, Robert McNabb.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Snellings Funeral Home Churchland Chapel by the Rev. Walter Kennedy. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and also at the daughter's residence, 3201 Morningside Drive, Chesapeake, at other times.
