William Cecil Kirkman, 75, of the 3800 block of Pine Road, a retired Allstate insurance agent, died June 3, 1995, in Kitty Hawk, N.C.
Mr. Kirkman was born in Swansboro, N.C. He had retired from Allstate Insurance after 34 years. He was a veteran of the 82nd Airborne WW 2. He was a member of Western Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn D. Kirkman; two daughters, Donna K. O'Connor of Portsmouth and Debbie K. Perdue of McDowell, Va.; a son, the Rev. Gale R. ``Reggie'' Kirkman of Chester, Va.; a sister, Audrey Johnston of Richmond, Va.; a brother, John E. Kirkman III of McLean, Va.; and 10 grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Western Branch Baptist Church by the Rev. George F. Mullinax. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carpenters for Christ, c/o Western Branch Baptist Church, 4710 High St. W., Portsmouth, Va. 23703.
