Calvin Boggs Sr., 83, of the 600 block of Waukesa Ave., a retired insurance salesman, died June 4, 1995, in his home.
Mr. Boggs was born in Melfa, Va., and retired from American General Insurance. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Mercer Boggs, and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, William C. Boggs Jr. of Chesapeake; three grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Fannie Hatteson of Norfolk.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or First United Methodist Church.
